About me
I spent over a decade at Cigna Healthcare, progressing from leading product development to Head of Marketing. I started out leading enterprise marketing with a strong partnership focus, driving Y0Y growth of 5% in a flat market. I then developed and launched an SME health insurance solution and built direct channel capabilities from the ground up. I achieved year two revenue of £3M - 110%+ of revenue targets.
That progression from large corporate, partner-led models to direct SME acquisition shaped how I think about go-to-market strategy at every stage of a business. Keen to broaden my experience further, I made a deliberate move into the startup world, joining Plumm - a mental health tech platform - as Marketing Director, then as Chief Growth Officer. As CGO, I owned the full revenue pillar end to end: product, marketing, sales and customer success. I built go-to-market strategies from scratch, led multicultural teams and drove 33% YoY ARR growth.
That combination of enterprise rigour, SME agility and startup pace is what I now bring to growing businesses on a portfolio basis. I work with ambitious founders and owners who need senior commercial thinking and hands-on delivery - without the overhead of a full-time hire. I’ve worked fractionally with the CareTech platform Archangel Cloud, a health benefits start up, and on a project and consultancy basis with edtech, green energy tech, and charitable organisations.
Fun facts
I enjoy a challenge and have climbed over 20 Munros and ran Edinburgh Marathon in under 4 hours. These days I've swapped the hills for the mental challenge of the golf course - though the early starts are surprisingly similar.
I once appeared in a Scottish TV show entirely by accident. I'm still not sure how it happened.
