Over the past year, the UK skills shortage has been widely reported1. Our free* workshop series has been designed to facilitate you expanding your knowledge and skills, in order to help you achieve your desired business growth.

Our aim is to empower you to bring strategy, well-founded theory and experience into your business. We hope that through clear, well-structured principles you will be able engage your entire workforce and put them into action.

Why survive when you can thrive?

Principle 1: Strategy – Visions and Goals

How different would a business be if its vision and goals were oriented from the customer’s perspective or outside-in? Setting a vision that will guide a business through these turbulent times and engage the whole workforce in delivering goals that support the vision, might be something that turns a business that just survives into one that thrives.

For any business to grow successfully, whether a £2m or £10m turnover company, the challenge is being properly equipped and prepared to make the crucial commitments that will take them to the next stage.

Considerations such as strategy, marketing capability, financial and people(Employee/time/human?) resources are all key. Not only do businesses need to fully understand all these components, they may also need to apply this knowledge to market conditions that are presented such as Brexit – whether an opportunity or threat.

In our first two-hour workshop, led by Malcolm Johnston of The Marketing Centre, you will learn how to create a strategy that is focused on customer needs. He will guide you through understanding theoretical business models, as well as the practical application of these skills into developing a  vision for business. During the workshop you will have time to work with other attendees and experts on how you would personally apply the theory to your own business.

The first workshop takes place on 18th September at Hylands House Chelmsford. Further details. Each workshop is stand-alone, but we recommend attending all five to provide comprehensive business guidance. Apply
